If you are just coming to look
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon, front yards across Solymár open up. No ticket, no registration, just come along and have a look around.
What to bring with you
- Small change. Most places take cash, and plenty of sellers cannot give change for a ten thousand forint note.
- A bag or a basket, because not everywhere will have something to wrap your finds in.
- Comfortable shoes. The locations are spread across the village, and walking is by far the best way round.
How to work your way round
The map goes live after September 13, and every location is marked on it with a heart. The categories are colour-coded, so if you are specifically after children’s clothes or furniture, you do not have to walk the whole village.
On haggling
Haggling is part of the day, but nobody is obliged to. If an object clearly matters to someone, respect that. Towards the end of the morning many sellers come down on their prices, simply because they would rather not carry it all back in.
Photographs at the sale
Photographs will be taken at the event, and we use them to show what the sale is like and to advertise future ones, for example on the Facebook page. We try to photograph in a way that leaves faces unidentifiable, but if you come along you should expect it. If you do turn out to be recognisable in a picture and would rather not be, write to us and we will take it down.
Children and dogs
Both are welcome. Keep the dog on a lead, and it is worth reminding children that what is laid out at each location belongs to somebody else.
